"In a hole in the ground, there lived a Hobbit." Since Professor J.R.R. Tolkien first put pen to paper and wrote out the words that open The Hobbit, readers have gone on a journey into Tolkien's world of Middle-Earth through The Lord of the Rings. The films based on the original novels have become part of the global culture and fans of every age have journeyed with Frodo and the Fellowship of the Ring on their epic quest to destroy evil forever. A small and quiet Hobbit with a true and noble spirit, Frodo Baggins becomes the bearer of the One Ring and vows to destroy it in the fires of Mount Doom. Frodo's gardener, Samwise Gamgee, makes a simple promise not to lose his master and friend, wherever the roads of adventure may take him. Frodo's cousins, Meriadoc Brandybuck and Pippin Took, followed Frodo and Samwise as far as Amon Hen, until they were captured by Uruk-hai soldiers sent by Saruman the White. These mini-busts recreate the Hobbit quartet from the films, and are modeled on the actors' likenesses. Each stands 4" tall, and comes with a hand-numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
